The renovation began on September 27, 2019 - right in the middle of the United Nations Global Climate Action Week. We did not plan that - but it seemed like a good omen.
We started late because we were confronted with a higher than expected budget estimate. Oh dear. It’s not sustainable if it’s not affordable. It took the better part of a month to work through options to scale down the build and so trim the budget. Specific solutions are dealt with in metrics and systems.
